Carlson Computer Consulting - Main Page

Important Notice:

C3 | Carlson Computer Consulting has become a sideline to full-time employment, and is no longer accepting new clients. As of September 2008 I am a full-time employee at Classmates Online.

Click on this link for a calendar of availability to see when C3 is scheduling appointments and available by phone. Availability may change at short notice, so please check the calendar before making plans.

Efforts will be made to answer e-mail outside the listed dates/times, but please don't rely on getting an immediate reply.

Check out this page for software and tips I use in maintaining my own machines, as well as a few things I've learned from my new job.

C3 | Carlson Computer Consulting is a technology consulting business based in the Pinehurst (northern Northgate) neighborhood of Seattle. I believe many computer users - especially those in home-business, creative and non-profit areas - are frustrated with computer retailers, software providers, online services and their lack of support, communication skills and patience. There's often a substantial gap between what you need and what you get from these large, impersonal, profit-driven companies.

C3 exists to provide the timely and friendly help you need.

What distinguishes C3 from other consulting companies? An informal, friendly approach; a unique ability to communicate 'geek-speak' in ways that make sense to you; dependable follow-through - someone who knows your needs over the long-term; concern for technology's impact on society and the environment; reasonable rates; and background in non-profit and community activism.

C3 works with all flavors of Apple/Mac and PC hardware; MacOS 7-9, i.e. 'Classic', Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows operating systems and networking environments - but... Macs are more fun!

Over nine years of informal consulting and over six years in business, I've learned 'show-and-tell' is the most effective way to pinpoint and fix problems. House calls, and face-to-face appointments at your location are best for both sides.

I'd be pleased to work with you. Please use the information on the virtual business card above to contact me. Thanks for taking the time to look over this website.

See Mike Carlson's resume here if you want to get a better idea of my experience.
